HOME HEALTH CARE OVERVIEW

Advantage Home Care provides skilled care by professional, certified and licensed nurses and therapists as ordered by your physician. Our home health agency offers a full spectrum of care and support to persons recovering from an illness, surgery and to those seeking help with daily routines and medical procedures.

Your situation will be assessed by a qualified intake coordinator to assure your needs match the professionals for your best interest and outcomes. Our professional staff includes but is not limited to licensed and certified nursing services, therapists and home health aides.

Our goal is to assist you in reaching your wellness potential through direct intervention, teaching and training to better enable you to manage your own health care. Our Mission is "Improved quality of health to enhance quality of life."

Nurses are on call 24 hours for guidance and supervision.

REGISTERED NURSE OVERVIEW

Registered nurses work with you and your family in planning and supervising your health care needs. All care is under a doctor's written orders. Your physician must also authorize any arrangements for medical supplies, equipment and therapy sessions necessary for your care.

PHYSICAL THERAPY OVERVIEW

Certified and Licensed Therapists establish an exercise program prescribed by your doctor. The therapy schedule is designed to strengthen your muscles and optimize your mobility, flexibility and activities.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY OVERVIEW

Certified and Licensed Therapists work with you under doctor's orders to improve your ability to perform daily living tasks such as dressing, grooming and eating.

SPEECH THERAPY OVERVIEW

Certified and Licensed Therapists provide instructions prescribed by your doctor. The Therapy Program is designed to improve Speech and Communication skills often due to a stroke.

OTHER SPECIALIZED SERVICES OVERVIEW

Specially trained nurses with the written orders of your physician are available to provide I.V. therapy, antibiotic therapy, hyperalimentation, enteral alimentation and special tube feedings.

HOME HEALTH AIDES OVERVIEW

Trained aides provide personal care (bathing, grooming and feeding) and supportive services (meal preparation, personal laundry, etc). The aides work under the supervision of nurses and other professional health care providers.

MEDICAL SOCIAL SERVICES OVERVIEW

The social services staff will assist you and your family with the situations associated with a serious illness or disability. Arrangements for appropriate services through community resources can be made.
